Specialist Women's Health Physiotherapy

Supporting women at every life stage, with particular focus on pelvic health. Women's Health Physiotherapists specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of a range of conditions, some of which are listed and explained below.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and ligaments which provide stability and support for pelvic organs. They can become weak (often after pregnancy and in menopause) and / or over-active.

Specialist Women's Health Physiotherapists perform an internal examination of the pelvic floor to assess how well the pelvic floor muscles are working (their strength and function) as well as assessing for other pelvic floor dysfunction (such as prolapse).
